SEATON HACKNEY OFFERS SPECIAL WINTER TROOP

November 20, 2006: MORRISTOWN, NJ – The recently re-opened Seaton Hackney has announced that they will offer a Winter Camp during the holiday school recess to provide riders training to improve horsemanship and horseback riding skills.

The Winter Camp is open to riders 8-17 years old, regardless of experience level. The program includes three daily riding sessions: one private or lungeing lesson, one group lesson, and one trail ride).

In addition, participants will participate in Seaton Hackney’s new Badge Program, a program of concentrated study in a variety of areas including Equine First Aid, Tacking Up, Barn Management, Equine Senses & Body Language, and other important topics. In the Winter Camp, participants will study one new area of equine safety and horsemanship each day to earn badges toward becoming paid Pony Attendants, Volunteers, and Counselors for Seaton Hackney’s spring and summer programs.

The Winter Camp will be offered Tuesday December 26th through Saturday December 30th from 9am to 5pm. Early drop-off and late pick-up can be arranged at no additional cost. Tuition is $425 (full day) and includes pizza and drinks. Space is limited to 18 children so reserve early. Session or activity cancellation due to inclement weather will be made up either on Sunday December 31st or missed sessions will be made in afternoon sessions in January.
