History of Seaton Hackney Stables

The Seaton Hackney complex once housed the famous Hackney Racing Stables, popular in Morris County, New Jersey during the turn of the 20th century. Today, it is a county riding facility that offers programs for all ages and skills.

Seaton Hackney Stables is situated on a 30-acre fenced property boasting both indoor and outdoor barns with 50 stalls of various sizes, all ventilated with individual fire alarms, fluorescent lighting and outside electrical outlets. Other amenities include a large shower stall, a party/general assembly room, two large fenced riding rings, a driving and galloping mile long track complete with Announcer's Tower and Meeting/Scoring Room for Shows, Parties and Special Events, as well as plenty of turn-out paddocks.
